Matthew Somers is a musician and sound artist known for his work across bands and experimental audio practice. He gained international recognition as the main songwriter and co-lead vocalist and guitarist of I Heart Hiroshima and is currently writing, singing and playing guitar in Total Pace and co-writing and performing in Trim Reaper.

Matt has performed solo work under the alias of Rick Fights and Contack. His sound work explores layered loops, effects-driven processing and immersive soundscapes, occasionally with heartfelt but wry musings added, blending music and sonic experimentation across performance and installation contexts.
